Today was the first time i attended a lecture for this year... n it was an aussie experience!!!
It started so scary as the lecturer told the class that those who are in the room were the top 3-4% of the cohert in their high school... It's so frightening... meaning everyone in class are top students!!! Then came the essential readings every week i need to do n come out with a 1-page realisation of the reading... Ooh my goodness... It seems that i make a wrong choice in coming to aussie now... Luckily... The next lect was much better... There were drawings, concepts, field trip n etc... This is what i preferred... Practical stuff...
The lectures here are much more interesting than Singapore!!! This can be a confirmation for now... There were no notes given out... you have to make notes yourself... n most of the time they would ask the class to participate in some "brain storming" activities... E.g. create a phone book using materials 1) 4 person - paper cutter 2) 2 person - scissors 3) 1 person - tear... The lecturer can used this activity to explain the "means of production" in sociology concepts... pretty interesting...
The night ended with a STEAK dinner prepared by ME!!!(forget to take a photo of it cos i'm too hungry) Shiok... the taste of beef...
